Archibald M. Robinett
Born in North Carolina about 1820. He is in Georgia by 1846, when the eldest of his children was born, and the 1850 census finds him at Cass Station in what was then Cass County, with a wife Rebecca and two small daughters, Mary and Jane.
The 1860 census of the 1041st Militia District of the same county gives the household with five children: Mary, Jane, Malinda, John and Elizabeth. Malinda is nine years old on that page.
In August 1867 he registered to vote in Georgia, under the registration the Reconstruction Acts required of the state that year. By 1870 the family had crossed into Cherokee County, to Little River, and by 1880 he and Rebecca were in District 1279, which is where his daughter Malinda's household and her husband's neighbours the Brookshires were living.
In both of those last two households there is a Richard Dean, a man of about his own age, and Rebecca's maiden name was Dean. No known record gives Archibald's death, his burial or his parents.
