Deborah DeWolf
Deborah DeWolf was born at Lyme, Connecticut, on 25 July 1690. She was a daughter of Stephen DeWolf, a son of Balthazar DeWolf, who was at Lyme by 1664. A Huntley genealogy of 1978 names her mother as Hannah, born Jones and the widow of a Ransom.
On 27 July 1707, two days after her seventeenth birthday, she married Aaron Huntley of Lyme. They had eleven children between 1708 and 1731: Hannah, Aaron, Solomon, Deborah, Ruth, Stephen, Phebe, Esther, Nathan, Jemima and Timothy.
Her husband sat for Lyme in the General Assembly in 1720. His will of 1743 names her first.
On 26 September 1748 she lost her husband and her youngest son Timothy on the same day. "Deborah survived," says the 1978 genealogy. Her own death is not recorded in any known source. Find a Grave gives her 1748 as well, without a source.
Her eldest daughter, Hannah, married Ebenezer Mack, and Hannah's great-grandson was Joseph Smith, founder of the Latter Day Saint movement.
