Edmund Jackson

Children include Mary

Edmund Jackson lived at Boston in Lincolnshire, where his children were baptised at St Botolph's. Mary was baptised on 29 November 1618 and Elisha on 6 November 1623. A daughter Susan was buried there on 22 August 1630.

He was dead by August 1642. On the 7th of that month his son Samuel made a will as "sonne to Mr Edmund Jackson late of Boston". It left twenty shillings to Samuel's sister Mary, "now Mary Woodward, living in Boston in new England", and administration later went to another son, Nathaniel.

The same will shows Edmund's wife's family. Samuel left his sister Sarah eight pounds "remaining of a legacie of tenn pounds which was given mee at the death of my Grandfather Mr Robert Storre", and five pounds "given mee by the will of my Grandmother Mrs Elizabeth Storre wife to Mr Robert Storre". That money was to be paid by "my uncle Storre sonne to the sayd Robert and Elizabeth". He also left his brother Nathaniel five pounds that had been left him "by my uncle Mr John Storre at his death". Robert and Elizabeth Storre were Samuel's grandparents and their son was his uncle, so Edmund's wife was very probably their daughter. No record gives her own name.
