Wife of Lieutenant William French, married in England before 1631, and mother of John French. Her maiden name is not proved: printed accounts give Godfrey and Symmes, and Hazen's register leaves it blank.

The dates are what she has. She was born about 1604 on the arithmetic of her age at death. Her eldest daughter Elizabeth was born about 1631, so she married at around twenty six. She came out of England with her husband in 1635, when she was about thirty one, with a daughter of four and another of two, and probably pregnant with John.

She bore nine children over about fourteen years, the first two in England and the rest at Cambridge and then at Shawshin, and buried at least two of them: a first Hannah who lived from February 1641/2 to June 1642, and a first Samuel who lived seven months. She died at Billerica on 31 March 1668. The record could not settle whether she was sixty two or sixty four.
