Francis Ferrell
Frances Louise Campbell was born on 3 February 1948 in Chester County, South Carolina, a daughter of Edward Leonard Campbell and Virginia Louise Gaston. Her brothers William Edward and James Walter were born in 1929 and 1932 and her sister Minnie Jane in 1936, so she grew up with siblings who were nearly grown. Another sister, Edith, married a Caldwell.
She graduated from Chester High School and went on to a secretarial college.
She married Harvey E. Ferrell of Chester, known to everyone as "Rooster". When she died they had been married more than fifty-four years. Their first son, Christopher Scott Ferrell, was born on 25 August 1965 and died the next day. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery at Chester. A second son, Michael Keith Ferrell, was born in 1974.
Frances worked in insurance and retired from the Ron Wyatt Agency of Nationwide Insurance. She was a member of Community Church.
She died on Saturday 25 April 2020 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, aged 72, and the service was private. Her brothers William and J. W. Campbell and her sister Edith had died before her. She left Harvey, Michael, six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and her sister Minnie Jane Campbell of Chester.
She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery at Chester, the same cemetery as her parents, her husband's parents and her infant son. Her marker reads "Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother" over her full name, Frances Louise Campbell Ferrell.
