George Frey
George Edward Frey was born on 7 December 1953 in Santa Clara County, California, the county of San Jose. His mother's maiden name was Powell. The family has always placed his birth in San Jose.
On 13 September 1975 he married Jeanette Edith Tate at Reno, in Washoe County, Nevada. He was twenty-one and she was eighteen. Nevada asked for no blood test and no waiting period, and couples from northern California often crossed the Sierra to marry at Reno. Their son, George Edward Frey Jr., was born in Sacramento County on 6 May 1976.
He served in the United States Air Force. The rank on his niche cover is senior airman, the fourth enlisted grade. Jeanette died on 9 June 2007, her last home in Sacramento.
George Edward Frey died on 10 September 2022, at sixty-eight. His ashes were placed in a niche at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at Phoenix, a national cemetery for veterans, in Section J12, Row D, Site 38. The marble cover reads "Loved husband, dad & grandpa. Missed always, in our hearts forever." The emblem of belief cut above his name is an angel blowing a trumpet.
