Henry Misner
Henry Misner married Irena Harbaugh at Marion County, Indiana, on 18 October 1892. He was thirty two, she was entered as twenty two, and the clerk took both sets of parents.
The bride is Lorena Harbaugh of Manchester in Dearborn County. Her father is written L. Hasbergh on that page, which is a clerk hearing Harbaugh, and her mother is Eliza. Four years later they were in Cincinnati with a daughter, and he is named as the father of Emma Jane Misner on her 1947 Cincinnati death record.
The surname is written Misner on that record and Meisner on Emma's 1919 marriage return, which is the usual fate of a German name in an American courthouse.
His grave at Walnut Hills Cemetery gives his death as 17 March 1930 at Cincinnati, and his birth as 21 April 1871 at Laurel, a canal town in Franklin County, Indiana. That birth year sits badly with the thirty two he gave the Indianapolis clerk in 1892, and only his own death certificate will settle which is right. Lorena was buried beside him in the same lot in 1944.
