Jakub Paciepnik
Jakub Paciepnik was a master tailor in the village of Truskolasy, near Kłobuck, where the parish church stood. His wife was Petronella, born Skwara. Three of their children are known: Jan, born about 1781, Ignacy, born about 1783, and Anastazja, born at Truskolasy about 1787. Ignacy followed him into the trade.
Jakub and Petronella were both dead by November 1810. On 17 November 1810 Ignacy married Regina Czartulińska before the civil registrar of Truskolasy. The act calls him the "Syn zeszłego Jakoba Paciepnika Maystra tegoż samego Kunsztu, w Truskolasach Zamieszkałego": the son of the late Jakub Paciepnik, master of the same craft, who had lived in Truskolasy. With no living parent to consent, Ignacy laid the burial certificates of both his parents before the registrar instead. The civil registers of the parish begin in May 1808, and Jakub very probably died before then.
His daughter's second marriage act, written at Truskolasy on 29 May 1843, remembers the family a little differently. It calls Anastazja the daughter of "Jakoba i Petronelli malzonkow Paciepnikow juz niezyjacych niegdys w Pankach na gospodarstwie zamieszkalych": Jakub and Petronella Paciepnik, both dead, who once lived on a farm at Panki, a village of the same parish. A tailor of Truskolasy who also held land at Panki would fit both acts. Paciepniki is still the name of a part of the Panki commune.
His son Jan farmed at Truskolasy all his life. He witnessed his brother Ignacy's wedding in 1810, reported the death of his sister Anastazja's first husband in 1834, and witnessed her second wedding in 1843.
