Lorene M. Schernbeck was born at Cincinnati on 26 January 1914, the daughter of Harry Schernbeck, a machinist, and Emma Jane Misner. She was named for her grandmother Lorena Harbaugh.
Her father died on 25 November 1918, when she was four, and her mother remarried thirteen months later. The 1920 census finds her aged six in the Cincinnati Ward 9 household of her stepfather Harry Williamson, still carrying the Schernbeck name.
She married Charles A. Keck at Hamilton County on 22 June 1935 and had Charlene, Doris Ann and Robert Charles. She died at Cincinnati on 27 October 1980, aged sixty six, and is buried at Saint Mary Cemetery in Saint Bernard, Section 30, Lot 198, Grave 2. Her husband outlived her by eight years.
The 1935 marriage index spells her maiden name Scheonbeck. Her father's death certificate spells it Schernbeck, and her grandfather's grave has the German original, Schierenbeck.
