Maren Ditlofsdatter
Maren Ditlofsdatter of Skien, mother of Live Maria Seyersdatter Bjøstrup and grandmother of the Heuch brothers of Kragerø.
She married Sejer Rasmusen Bjøstrup, burgher and churchwarden of Skien, and was left a widow in October 1704 with three young children. Her daughter Kirsten died the next year. Within a year or two she married again, to Jens Borring, whom the probate clerk enters with the trade Iubiler, a jeweller, and by him she had two more sons, Seyer and Hans.
Her own estate was opened on 24 August 1718 and closed on 10 October. The address the clerk wrote down, Paa Wæstre Side af Tællemarchs Gaden i Hielden, is the same side of the same street the bailiff had entered against her first husband in 1704. She married a second time and did not move. Four heirs are named: Ditlof Sejersen Bjøstrup, nineteen; Live Maria, given no age and therefore probably already married; Seyer Jensen Borring, twelve; and Hans Jensen Borring, ten.
