Sixth child of Zachariah Paddock the younger of Yarmouth, born on 27 May 1697 and married on 16 March 1721 to Sarah, daughter of Jonathan Howes. He was one of the Cape Cod men who went out to Southeast, New York, probably in the 1740s, in the same movement that took his brother David and his daughter Mary and her husband, and he died there.

The Yarmouth book gives his stone as "Peter Paddock died Oct. 22, 1776, Ae. 80 years," which fits a man born in 1697 within a year. Eleven pages earlier the same book gives "Peter Paddock died April 10, 1760, ae. 93 years," which fits nobody in this family: a man born in 1697 was sixty two in 1760, not ninety three. And the first of those readings is printed a third time under his wife, word for word, so that both husband and wife are recorded as dying on the same day at the same age. One stone has been printed under two people, and the 1760 stone belongs to some other Paddock.
