Sarah Conant
Sarah Conant was baptized at the First Church of Beverly, Massachusetts, on 14 February 1669. She was the eldest child of Exercise Conant and his wife Sarah. Her grandfather Roger Conant was then living at Beverly, the town he had asked the General Court to rename Budleigh. He died there when she was ten.
Her sisters and brothers were Abiah, baptized in 1672, who married Joshua Wallis, a Beverly shoemaker; Jane, baptized in 1675, who married William Moulton of Wenham; Josiah; and Caleb, baptized in 1683.
On 16 August 1693 Rev. John Hale of Beverly married her to John Moulton of Wenham, son of James Moulton. In 1699 her husband bought from her father the land at Dunstable that had been granted to her grandfather.
Sarah and John had eight children, all recorded at Wenham: Mary in 1696, John in 1698, Abigail in 1701, Josiah in 1703, Hannah in 1706, Sarah in 1709, Samuel in 1710 and Benjamin in 1712. Her husband died before the end of 1728. The date of her own death has not been found.
