Children include Sarah

Daughter of Thomas Scott of Hartford, who was killed when she was a girl, and of Ann, who remarried a year later. She married John Stanley of Farmington on 5 or 15 December 1645, and Savage gives both dates without choosing.

The two of them were a matched pair in one respect: he had lost his father on the Atlantic crossing in 1634 and been handed to an uncle by order of the General Court, and she had lost hers in 1643 to a killing the jury found was by misadventure. Neither had a father at the wedding.

She bore six children at Hartford and Farmington in fourteen years. John, born 3 November 1647; Thomas, 1 November 1649; SARAH, 18 February 1652; Timothy, 17 March 1654; Elizabeth, baptised 5 April 1657, who died young; and Isaac, 22 September 1660. She died on 26 June 1661, nine months after the last of them.

Her husband lived another forty four years, married again in April 1663, commanded Farmington's men through King Philip's War and died in 1705. Her daughter Sarah married Joseph Gaylord of Windsor in 1670.
