Theresia Ilg
Theresia Ilg was baptised at Seitingen on 14 October 1709. The priest wrote "Theresia de Seytting filia Joannis Ilg et Mariae Bayrin": Theresia of Seitingen, daughter of Joannes Ilg and Maria Bayer. Her godparents were Simeon Lehmann and the maiden Maria Wenzler. Seitingen was a Catholic village in the Tuttlingen country of Württemberg, and its church was the parish church for Oberflacht too.
She was one of at least six children baptised to her parents between 1708 and 1717: Francisca, Theresia, Josephus, Gertrudis, Joannes Paulus and Maria. Simon Lehmann, a smith, was godfather to all of them. In October 1723 four children of Joannes Ilg were confirmed together, entered as "Theresia, Maria, Carolus, Joannes, Joannis Ilg". She was the only Theresia Ilg in the lists that year.
On 10 January 1740 she married Thomas Münck of Oberflacht. She was thirty and he was twenty-seven. The priest entered her as "pudica virgo Theresia Ilgin ex Seittingen", a chaste maiden of Seitingen. The couple were third cousins, and the marriage needed a dispensation for the fourth degree of kinship.
Her son Matthäus was baptised on 11 September 1742, entered as the son of "Thomae Muenck et Theresiae Ilgin". He became a farmer at Oberflacht and lived until 1810. A son Josephus was a witness at his brother's wedding in 1766.
A Theresia Ilgin of Oberflacht was buried on 1 March 1778. The priest calls her "coniugata", a married woman. If that is her, she died at sixty-eight and her husband outlived her.
The Ilgs were an old family in both villages. Benedikt Ilg, the miller at Oberflacht, married a woman born a Münk.
