Of Chelmsford and then Westford in Middlesex County. He was born at Chelmsford on 9 April 1689, son of Moses Parker and Abigail, and the age recorded at his death agrees to the month. His elder children were born at Chelmsford before Westford was set off from it in 1729.

He married Abigail, whose surname a later hand entered in the Westford register as Adams. Their children as recorded there are Aaron, born at Chelmsford 19 August 1713; Samuel, born at Chelmsford 1 January 1717; Elizabeth, baptised 14 July 1728; Isaac, born 20 May 1731; Joseph, born 2 January 1734/5; and Esther, born 4 July 1738. The first two entries were written into the Westford book afterwards in a different ink, which is what a family did when it found itself in a new town and wanted the older births on the new town's record. Moses, Abigail, Mary and Lucy, born between 1718 and 1726, are in the Chelmsford register only.

He died at Westford on 19 December 1775, aged eighty six years, seven months and twenty eight days. He had buried his eldest son thirteen years earlier.
