Amelia Christina Anderson
Amelia Christina Anderson was born at Highland, Iowa County, Wisconsin, on 8 September 1875, a daughter of Elling Anderson, from Hedalen in Valdres, Norway, and Bertha Stoa. She had three older half-brothers named Ladd and one older full brother, Alfred, who went by Alfred C. Ellison. Emma, Elmer, George and Clara came after her.
On 20 January 1897 she married John Watson Peart, a son of the Galena lead miner Jacob Peart. The return gives the groom's home as Union Mills and the place of the marriage as Standard, Iowa County. Asked for her parents, she gave the clerk names he wrote as Alleck Anderson and Bertha Lad. Her father died that November.
Her daughter Estella May was born at Wyoming, Iowa County, in 1905. In 1936 her mother's obituary listed her first among ten children: "Mrs. Amelia Peart, Spring Green." She died at Dodgeville on 24 September 1964, at eighty-nine, and is buried at Spring Green.
