Anne Webster was baptised at Cossington in Leicestershire on 29 July 1621, a daughter of John Webster and his wife Agnes Smith. Her father sold his Cossington property in 1634 and took the family to New England. He settled at Hartford in Connecticut and became governor of the colony.
At Hartford she married John Marsh, who had been there since 1636. Their first son, Joseph, was baptised on 24 January 1647 and died soon after. A second Joseph was baptised on 15 July 1649. Then came John, Samuel, Jonathan, Daniel, Hannah and Grace.
In 1659 or 1660 the Marshes moved up the Connecticut River to Hadley in Massachusetts, with her father and the others who left Hartford after the church quarrel there. Her father's will of 1659 gave twenty pounds to "my daughter Marsh." He died at Hadley in 1661.
Anne died on 9 June 1662, at Northampton. She was forty. Her husband married Hepzibah, the widow of Richard Lyman, in 1664.
