Catharine Casselberry was the wife of Henry Casselberry, who was almost certainly the Hendrick Kasselberg of Germantown. On 23 May 1708 a "Catharine Kasselberg" is on the list of the members of the Germantown Mennonite congregation. Morgan Edwards printed the list in his Materials towards a History of the American Baptists, and Pennypacker reprinted it in his history of Germantown in 1899. Wenger's history of the Franconia Conference Mennonites, printed in 1938, calls her "Catherine Kasselberg of Backersdorf, Germany."

The Mennonites were Anabaptists, Protestants who baptized only adult believers. Her husband's family came from the Lower Rhine, probably from near Brüggen in the Duchy of Jülich.

Catharine, widow of Henry Casselberry, who outlived him by thirty eight years. She made her will on 3 March 1767 and it was proved on 8 January 1768. It leaves her book accounts to her granddaughter Margaret Shrack, splits the personal property between her daughters Eve and Elizabeth and the estate of her dead son Dirick, and appoints as executors "my Grandson in law Elisha Davis and John Bull esquire." She signed with a mark.

If she is the Catharine of 1708, she was already a church member that year and lived on for sixty more.
