Charles Duggar

Charles Dallas Duggar was born on 4 March 1923 in South Pittsburg, Marion County, Tennessee. His parents were Charles Alvin Duggar (1894-1955) and Emma McGraw Duggar (1902-1983). He had an older brother, Joseph Alvin "Joe" Duggar, who served as a sergeant. He also had two younger sisters, Mary Helen Duggar Horn and Emma Coleen Duggar Hawk.

His Find a Grave memorial says he served in the Army Air Corps during the Second World War, in the Pacific theater. The Army Air Corps was the Army's flying branch, the forerunner of the United States Air Force.

On 23 January 1946 he married Fannie Lois Walker at Ringgold, Catoosa County, Georgia. Ringgold lies just over the state line from the Chattanooga area. Fannie was born in 1926 and died in 1988. The couple had three sons: Douglas, Shannon and Brian.

According to the same memorial, he worked briefly for Life & Casualty of Tennessee after his discharge. He then became a traveling salesman for Nestle and stayed with the company until he retired.

Charles Dallas Duggar died in South Pittsburg on 8 September 1997, aged 74. He is buried in the Bean-Roulston Graveyard there, in the fourth corner near the entrance.
