Elizabeth Warren
Elizabeth Warren was born in England, one of the five daughters of Richard Warren and his wife Elizabeth. Her father sailed in the Mayflower in 1620 and left his wife and daughters to follow. They came in the Anne, the third ship, in 1623. Her father died at Plymouth in 1628, when she was still a child.
Her sisters were Mary, who married Robert Bartlett in 1628; Ann, who married Thomas Little in 1633; Sarah, who married John Cooke the younger in 1634; and Abigail, who married Anthony Snow of Marshfield in 1639. Two brothers, Nathaniel and Joseph, were born at Plymouth.
About 1636 she married Richard Church, a carpenter. On 7 March 1636/7 the Plymouth court recorded the lands her widowed mother had given to Richard Church, Robert Bartlett and Thomas Little "in marriage with their wives, her daughters."
Elizabeth and Richard lived at Plymouth until 1649, then at Eastham and Charlestown, and from 1653 at Hingham. She bore a large family. Among them were Elizabeth, born at Plymouth in 1636 or 1637; Benjamin in 1640, who commanded the party that killed King Philip; and Abigail on 22 June 1647, who married Samuel Thaxter. Her husband died at Dedham in December 1668. Elizabeth died at Hingham on 4 March 1670.
