Hannah Plympton
Hannah Plympton was born at Dedham in Massachusetts on 1 March 1645, a daughter of Serg. John Plympton, and married Nathaniel Sutcliffe on 31 January 1665, a month short of twenty. She married a neighbour: the Sutcliffe house at Medfield stood about a hundred rods west of her father's, on the road to the Long Causeway.
The two households moved west together. In the spring of 1673 the Sutcliffes sold up and went to Deerfield with the Plymptons, and her youngest, John, was born there in 1674. On 19 May 1676 her husband was killed with Captain Turner at the falls.
She married Samuel Harrington in 1677, and about 1679 or 1680 the household removed to Branford in Connecticut, where a daughter Mehitable was born on 3 October 1681 and where the Sutcliffe children grew up. Her second husband's will was dated 1719, his estate was inventoried at 252 pounds and two shillings, and he died on 25 July 1719.
