James F. Raulerson
James F. Raulerson was born in Georgia about 1822. He married Ruth, born in Georgia about 1823, whose maiden name is given on her son's grave memorial as Hull. Their first sons were born in Florida, William about 1843 and Robert Rowan on 1 December 1845, and a third, Stephen, in Georgia about 1848.
In the 1850 census the family was living in Wayne County, Georgia, the county on the Altamaha River just north of the Florida line. James was 28 and Ruth 27. With them were two boys named Hicks, Noah, 13, and Samuel, 10, both born in Florida; William, 7, Robert, 5, and Stephen, 2; Martha Hull, 50, born in South Carolina; Tempy Lane, 16; and Robert B. Wilson, 50. The census of that year did not record how people in a house were related, so the place of the Hicks boys and of Martha Hull in the family is not stated.
His son Robert Rowan Raulerson settled at Seville, in Volusia County, Florida, and his grave memorial there names his parents as James F. and Ruth Hull Raulerson.
