Jerzy Jelonek
Jerzy Jelonek kept a farm at Pustkowie Kamienskie, a clearing in the parish of Przystajn, in the second half of the eighteenth century. His son Antoni was born there about 1773 or 1775.
Seventy years later Antoni married for the second time, at Truskolasy on 29 May 1843. The clerk wrote him down as born at the clearing, the son of "Jerzego i Maryanny malzonkow Jelonkow juz niezyjacych niegdys w Kamienskiej pustkowiu na gospodarstwie zostajacych": Jerzy and Maryanna Jelonek, both dead, who were once on a farm at the Kamienskie clearing.
A second document disagrees. When Antoni died in January 1845, two neighbours reporting the death gave his parents as Pawel Jelonek and Dorota, born Pietrzak. The marriage act is the better witness, because Antoni was present and gave the names himself. Antoni's first marriage, to Maryanna Trzepizur, would name his parents a third time and has not been found.
