Lina Lovell
Lina Lovell was born about 1855 in Illinois. She was the wife of S. Douglas Lovell, a farmer in the country where Fulton and McDonough Counties meet, and in the Macomb papers she appears as Mrs. S. D. Lovell.
In December 1893, at Ipava, she and her husband buried a child of three months. Her son Harry Russell was born at Ipava two years later. The family moved to Scotland Township in 1902, to a place near Industry in 1905, and to Adair by 1908.
Her older daughters married and moved away: Lulu to St. Louis, and another, the wife of Thomas H. Wright, to Montana, Peoria and Kansas. Lina spent Christmas of 1906 with Lulu in St. Louis. The next May she was very ill at home near Industry, ill enough that a doctor came out from Macomb to consult on her case. In June 1908 she went to see her daughter Bessie, who was in St. Francis hospital.
In 1910 she was fifty five and living in New Salem Township, McDonough County, with her husband, their daughter Mamie, 19, and their son Harry R., 14.
