Margaret Bradstreet
Margaret Bradstreet was born at Andover, Massachusetts, on 19 February 1679/80. The Andover town record reads: "Margarett, d. Dudley and Anne, Feb. 19, 1679-80." Until 1752 the English year began in March, so a February date was written with both years. In the modern reckoning she was born in 1680.
Her father was Col. Dudley Bradstreet of Andover, and her mother was Ann Wood, the widow of Theodore Price. Her grandparents on her father's side were Gov. Simon Bradstreet and his wife Anne, the poet. Her brother Dudley was born on 27 April 1678 and her sister Anne on 5 November 1681.
She married Job Tyler of Boxford. Their children were Dudley, born in 1700 and named for her father, William in 1701, Margaret in 1703, Job in 1705, Asa in 1708 and Hannah in 1710. She died before 1736, when her husband married again.
After her father's death, her husband administered what remained of his estate.
