Maritie Jacobs Cool was a twin. On 7 March 1666 Jacob Barentsen Cool and Marretje Symens brought two children to the Dutch church at Kingston, Arent and Marretje. The sponsors were Hans Cheyrstede, Annetje Tyssen and Anna Blom, the minister's wife. She is the only Marretje of Jacob Barentsen Cool in the register, and her age at her marriage fits, so this is very probably her baptism.

Her older brothers were Symen, baptized in 1661, and two boys named Barent, baptized in 1663 and 1665. Her father's name was a patronymic, son of Barent, and the family baptized its children under the surname Cool.

On 17 December 1682 her banns were read at Kingston with Johannes Juriaensz Westvael of Foxhall in the Esopus. The register calls her "Maritie Jacobz Cool, j. d., of Kingston, and resid. there," a single woman living in the town. She was sixteen. They married on 28 January 1683. Their daughter Maretie was baptized at Kingston in August 1685, entered as the child of "Johannes Westvaal, Maretie Cool."

Her death is not recorded.
