She married George Lanham Zinn, a Reedsville carpenter. Their children were Edna May (1910), George Mitchel (1912), Virginia Lucille (1915) and Harold Burnard (1916). Her second son carried her father's given name.
She kept house in Reedsville for the rest of her life. She had diabetes for more than fifteen years, and a doctor from Masontown, W. Parke Johnson, had attended her since 1950. On 31 July 1966, at half past midnight, she died at home of a stroke, 36 hours after it struck. She was 76. Her husband, signing as G. L. Zinn, gave the particulars. She was buried at Gordon Cemetery, near Reedsville, on 2 August 1966.
