Daughter of John Rogers of Watertown and Billerica and his wife Priscilla Dawes, and mother of the Mary French who married Nathan Shed.

She was born at Watertown on 26 October 1643, the second child and eldest daughter, and was about thirteen when her father took up his first Billerica grant and moved the household to the new town on the Concord river. On 14 January 1667/8 she married John French, a farmer of the same town who had already buried two wives inside six years. She was twenty four.

Their daughter Mary was born on 4 March 1669/70. She died on 16 June 1677, aged thirty three, with that daughter seven years old. Her husband married again the following January.

Two of her brothers, John and Thomas, married two daughters of Daniel Shed, and both were killed in the Indian raid on Billerica of 5 August 1695. Her own daughter married a third child of that same Shed household. She did not live to see any of it.
