Myra Elizabeth Walker
Myra Elizabeth Williams was born on 10 March 1866. Her death certificate gives her birthplace as Kentucky, while her memorial gives Warren County, Tennessee. Her parents were William M. Williams, called Billy, and Elizabeth Ann Stoner, called Bittie. Those are the names her son Edly gave the registrar in 1952.
On 22 November 1882 she married Warren Butler Walker at Cagle, in Sequatchie County. Their first son, George William Cleveland Walker, was born in 1884. She had twelve children in all, and seven lived to adulthood. Warren died in 1915, after 33 years of marriage.
Myra lived on for 37 years as a widow, on a rural route out of Dunlap, in the 2nd Civil District of Sequatchie County. She died there on 17 March 1952, a week after her eighty-sixth birthday. Dr. R. D. Shepherd of Dunlap gave the cause as senility. The Howard Ewton Funeral Home of Dunlap buried her on 18 March 1952 at Fredonia, in Camp Cemetery, not beside her husband in Savage Cemetery.
