Priscilla Mullins

She came in the Mayflower with her father William Mullins, her mother Alice, her brother Joseph and a servant, Robert Carter, and by the end of the first winter she was the only one of the five still living. Bradford, going back over his passenger list thirty years later, put it in four lines: "Mr. Molines, and his wife, his sone, and his servant, dyed the first winter. Only his dougter Priscila survied, and maried with John Alden, who are both living, and have 11 children."

Her father died in February and the will taken down from him is the earliest made by an Englishman in this country. It leaves her ten pounds out of the forty in goodman Woodes's hand, half his goods in the country to be divided between her and Joseph, and two of his nine shares. The stock he was trading is in the same document, twenty one dozen shoes and thirteen pairs of boots. The copy went home on the Mayflower in April and was proved in London in July, and the probate names an older sister, Sarah Blunden, who had stayed in England, and gives the family's home as Dorking in Surrey.

She was about eighteen. She married John Alden, moved with him to Duxbury, and had eleven children, among them the fourth son, David.
