Anna Ebinger
Anna Ebinger was born at Kusterdingen, a village a few miles east of Tübingen in Württemberg, on 29 August 1808. She was baptised two days later, on 31 August. Her parents were Johann Jakob Ebinger and Anna Reiner, who had married in the village in November 1804. At her baptism the clerk entered her mother as "Reiner", and another line of the same entry gives the mother as Anna Maria.
Kusterdingen had at least four men named Johann Jakob Ebinger fathering children between 1800 and 1820, and their wives were named Christina, Magdalena, Catharina and Anna. Her own marriage entry names her mother "Reinin", the clerk's feminine form of Reiner, and that settles which family was hers.
She was the third of seven children. A brother, Johann Jakob, was born in 1805 and buried in 1808, the year she was born. Eva Barbara came on 18 March 1806. After her came Johann Adam in 1811, who died an infant, a Catharina on 12 February 1812 and a second Catharina on 7 February 1817. The youngest, Eva, was born in 1819 and buried in 1822.
On 13 August 1834 she married Johann Martin Gutbrodt at Kusterdingen. The marriage entry names the parents on both sides: his were Johann Jakob Gutbrodt and Anna Maria, and hers were Johann Jakob Ebinger and Anna. Her father-in-law was buried ten weeks later.
At her daughter Anna's baptism in May 1845 the clerk entered her as Anna, and on a second line as "Ebingerin", the feminine form of her surname. Her children included Anna, born in 1845, and Anna Maria, born about 1852, who was buried in the village in September 1869. A compiled family tree adds Johann Martin, Magdalena, Johann George and Jacob.
She was buried at Kusterdingen on 10 March 1874. The burial entry names her as the daughter of Johann Jakob Ebinger and Anna and the wife of Johann Martin, and gives her birth year as 1809. Her husband was buried in the village less than a year later, in February 1875, entered as the husband of Anna Ebinger.
