Anna Maria Hale was a daughter of John Hale of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, and his wife Mary Ann. The Dictionary of National Biography calls her John Hale's youngest daughter. Her husband's monument calls her his daughter and heir, which means she inherited as the surviving child in her line.

On 1 January 1807, at Fulham, she married Thomas Myers, professor of mathematics at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. She had eight children between 1807 and 1818, first at Woolwich and then at Greenwich. Two died as infants.

Her mother died in February 1826. In 1834 she lost both her husband, in April, and her daughter Caroline, in August, five weeks after Caroline's son was born. Her brother John Monckton Hale died that May.

An Anna Maria Myers died on 31 August 1860, and her will was proved in Gloucestershire by Charlotte Myers and Eliza Myers. Those are the names of her two unmarried daughters, and her daughter Mary Ann Croome lived in Gloucestershire, so this is probably she.
