Florence Sharp
Florence H. Sharp was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on 16 June 1915, the daughter of Orta Sharp and Hattie Ruggles. Her father's family had been in Erie County for at least two generations; her mother came from French Canada, and her parents had married at Windsor, Ontario, in 1909. She had an older brother, Orta Edward Sharp.
She married Willard E. Heiberger of Sandusky, and their first son, Willard, was born on 25 July 1933, when she was eighteen. Patricia followed on 21 July 1935 and James O. about 1943. In 1940 the family lived in Ward 2 of Sandusky, with an eighteen year old named Mildred Sharp in the house.
In April 1950 Florence was thirty four. Willard was a cleaning room foreman in a steel foundry, and her widowed father Orta, sixty three, was living with them. On 9 February 1952 two of her children married on the same day: Patricia married Jack H. Finley, with the wedding recorded in Erie County, and Willard married Patricia Lacher in Steuben County, Indiana.
Willard died in 1966. Florence lived another thirty two years and died in Sandusky on 23 February 1998, aged eighty two. She was buried in Oakland Cemetery and Memorial Park in Sandusky, where Willard lies.
