In her last years she lived at Castalia, a village south of Sandusky. She died on Saturday night, 24 January 2015, at The Willows at Bellevue, at seventy nine. Her obituary counted twenty grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held at her church on Milan Road in Sandusky on 30 January, with the Rev. David Flack officiating. She was buried at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron beside Jack, under a bronze marker that carries both their names and the words "Together Forever".
