Henry B. Waters
Henry B. Waters was born at Hartford, Connecticut, on 7 December 1853, the son of Chauncey Waters and Jane M. Simmons, who had married there that May. In 1860 he was six and living with his parents in the Third District of Hartford.
On 11 September 1878, aged 24, he married Annie M. Linton, 22, at Manchester, Connecticut. In June 1880 he was a joiner, a carpenter who did finished woodwork, living at Hartford with Annie and a baby daughter two months old. In 1900 he was head of a household in Ward 7 of Hartford: himself, 46, Anna, 44, married 22 years, and four children, Harry, 17, William, 14, Mabel, 12, and Emma, 10.
His wife died on 4 March 1909 and was buried at Old North Cemetery in Hartford. In April 1910 Henry, 55 and a widower, was living in Ward 6 of Hartford with his married daughter Emma, her husband Raymond Bradley, and his unmarried daughter Mabel.
A Henry B. Waters of the same age, born in Connecticut to Connecticut parents, was married again by 1920 and living at Hartford with a wife named Mabel, born in Maine, her mother Ann M. Young and a daughter Ruth. In 1930 that man was at Bloomfield, aged 75, with his wife, written Alice M., and Ruth, by then Mrs. Glidden. He is very likely the same Henry, but nothing joins the two by name. His death has not been found.
