Marcia McLurg
Marcia M. McLurg was born on 14 June 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was the elder of two daughters of Harold L. McLurg, a Canadian-born man raised in Bay City, and Lillian B. Wylie, who had been born in Ohio. Her sister Marilyn was born in March 1929.
In 1940 Marcia was fifteen, living with her parents and sister in the eighteenth ward of Saginaw. The family had been in the same house in 1935. A young woman of twenty three, Gertrude Korthals, also lived with them. Marcia applied for a Social Security number in November 1945, at twenty one.
She married Lee Hart Pinnell of Saginaw, four years older, the son of a West Virginian, who had served as an army private in the war. On 4 April 1950 the census taker found them in Saginaw. Lee was 29 and worked in an automobile parts factory. Marcia was 25. Their son Thomas L. Pinnell was an infant.
The marriage ended, and by 1955 Lee had married again. Marcia later married a man named Anderson and lived for a time at Tucson, Arizona. Marcia M. Anderson died on 21 February 2006, at eighty one.
