Nathaniel Fiske
Nathaniel Fiske was born at Watertown, Massachusetts, on 12 July 1653, the fourth son of Nathan Fiske and his wife Susanna. When his father died in 1676 he and his brother David were left thirteen acres of land on the further plain of Watertown, to divide between them.
He was a weaver. On 13 April 1677 he married Mary Child, a widow of twenty five. She had been born Mary Warren, daughter of Daniel Warren of Watertown, and her first husband, John Child, had died the previous October. She brought a daughter, Mary Child, into the marriage.
Nathaniel and Mary had eight children who grew up: Nathaniel, born 9 June 1678; Hannah, 1680, who married Joshua Bigelow of Weston; John, 1682; Sarah, 1684, who married John Hastings; Elizabeth, who married a Flagg; Lydia, who married first John Warren and then a Harrington; Abigail, who married a Flagg; and Mary, who married a Knapp.
Mary died on 12 May 1734. Nathaniel made his will on 10 June 1735 and died in September, aged 82. He had outlived three of his children, and the will settled each of their shares by name.
