Ole Andersen
Ole Andersen was born about 1791 and grew up at Myhr, a large farm in Skatval, the northern part of Stjørdal parish in Nord-Trøndelag. In the census of 1 February 1801 an Ole Andersen, 8, was the eldest child of the farmer Anders Olsen and his wife Anne Trulsdatter on the first holding at Myhr, with a sister Anne and twin brothers Jens and Truls. Name, farm and age all fit, and he is almost certainly that boy.
On 23 November 1818, in Værnes church, Ole Andersen married Gunnild Arntsdatter. He was written as a bachelor and gaardmand, a farmer, of Myhr, aged 27. She was a farmer's daughter from Vikan, 31.
Five years later his standing had changed. When their daughter Anne was baptised on 30 March 1823 he was an inderst at Myhr: a lodger on another man's farm, working for wages or in kind, with no land of his own. His younger brother Truls was farming at Myhr by 1827.
Ole died on 24 May 1824 at Myhr, aged 32 and a half, and was buried on 4 June. Anne was fifteen months old. His widow Gunnild married again in 1835 and became the wife of a farmer at Myhr, and Anne grew up there. When she married in 1848 the clerk still named Ole Andersen as her father.
