Phebe Miller
Phebe Miller was born about 1781, a daughter of Aaron Miller and Ruth Blanchard of Rutland, Vermont. Her parents are given by the memorials of her children and her father's Revolutionary file. She married John Daniels II of West Rutland. Her children were Mahala, born on 30 November 1801; Ruth and Wealthy, who married two Paull brothers; Nelson, born on 13 October 1813; and John Jr., born in New York in 1820.
Her elder sister Ruth married Robert Loveland of Pittsford, Vermont. In 1804 Ruth named a daughter Phebe Daniels Loveland.
Her mother died on 2 September 1805 and her father on 21 February 1813. Her husband was his executor. The family moved from Vermont to New York, and later west. Her son John Jr. died in 1858 and was buried in Howard Union Cemetery in Winnebago County, Illinois. Phebe died in 1863 and was buried there beside him. Her daughter Mahala and son Nelson went on to Arena, Wisconsin.
