Sarah Kilham
Sarah Kilham was the daughter of Austin Kilham and his wife Alice. Her parents came from Dennington in Suffolk, where her grandfather Henry Kellam had died in 1631. They sailed from Great Yarmouth on the Mary Anne in the spring of 1637 with her older brothers and sisters. They lived at Salem and then at Dedham, where her brother Lot was born in September 1640. A genealogy of the Kilhams published in 1902 gives her birth at Dedham on 4 January 1642. The Fiske genealogy gives 24 January 1642 and also 1649. Her age at death suggests about 1639.
In 1649 the family moved to Wenham. When the pastor, Mr. Fiske, left for Chelmsford in 1653, her father at first meant to go with him, but stayed.
On 15 January 1662 she married William Fiske of Wenham. They had fourteen children between 1663 and 1681. Ten of them grew up and had families.
Her father made his will on 2 June 1667 and died three days later. Her mother made hers on 3 July and died on 18 July. It names her son Daniel, her daughter Elizabeth Hutten, "my daughter Sarah Fiske," who was to have four pounds, her daughters Mary and Ruth, and her son Lot.
Her husband died in February 1728. Sarah died on 26 January 1737. The record of her death gives her age as ninety-eight.
