Their first son, Harold Jesse, was born in 1903. By 1909 the family had moved west to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where their daughter Dolores was born that February. They went on to Fallon, a farming town on an irrigation project in western Nevada, and stayed there.
William and Jennie raised ten children: Harold, Harley, LaVerne, Dolores, Floyd, Faye, Howard, Beryl, Merle and Frieda. William died at Fallon on 4 December 1963, aged 79. He is buried in the Churchill County Cemetery at Fallon, beside Jennie.
